11 . Things I Ponder While Watching My Little Pony ˊˎ-

  ᵇᵒᵒᵏˢʸᵇᵉᵃʳ ⁱˢ ᵗʸᵖⁱⁿᵍ . .

Hello everyone! Welcome to an unnecessary rambling of my thoughts, My Little Pony edition. There may be spoilers ahead. I'll probably be adding more to this once I finish FiM, I'm in the middle of season nine.

1. What is the point of the royal guards? Their job is supposedly to protect the princess, but I've never actually seen them doing that. In the few episodes where the Mane Six has had to sneak past the guards, it's been relatively easy. When Luna & Celestia were taken hostage by the Queen Chrysalis, the guards were apparently no help. It's also important to note that I've never actually seen them fighting, protecting, or doing their job. All they do is stand and look important.
2. Speaking of the royal guards, WHY ON EARTH DO THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME?? There are sun-themed guards for Celestia and moon-themed guards for Luna, and each type has male & female soldiers. But they all look the same. The stallions and the mares obviously look different from each other, but all the sun stallions look the same, all the night mares look the same, etc. It got me thinking of Star Wars, specifically, The Clone Wars. All the Jedi/Republican soldiers looked and acted the same, because they were all clones of the same person: Jango Fett. So what if the royal guards are clones? This might also explain their incompetence, perhaps they're not 'programmed' properly.
3. There seems to be a lot of problems with the royal guards, so here's another one: why are there no guards around Twlight's castle? She's a princess too, and arguably the most important one. Yet there are no protectors around her castle like Luna & Celestia (or Cadence). I mean, they're not that much help, but why is there none there at least for show?
4. I have not watched Equestria Girls yet, but as I understand, the general premise is that the ponies got transformed into high school students. Why? The Mane Six and most of their friends are clearly adults, because one, they all live away from their parents and/or place of birth, and two, they all have jobs and must work to support themselves. So why were the ADULT PONIES transformed into TEENAGE HUMANS? Again, I haven't watched Equestria Girls, so maybe this will be explained, but somehow I doubt it.
5. So.. are we ever going to find out why Flurry Heart was born an Alicorn? I figured it was just because both her mom and her aunt are alicorns, but is there something else at play here?
6. I truly admire the friendship between the CMCs. They stick together no matter what, they support each other in all that they do, and they basically do everything together. They've been friends practically their whole lives. And in the episode where Scootaloo was going to move to Shirelanka, she absolutely refused to go. These guys hardly ever fight. The Mane Six has had some snags here and there, but the CMCs? I don't think I've ever seen them have a real argument.
7. Why can't Scootaloo fly? Was she just born like this, or did she get injured/sick as a baby? Her parents seem perfectly normal & healthy, so it couldn't have been a defect that was passed on. Also, is she going to be like this forever? Or will her wings never grow?
8. Did Pear Butter and Bright Mac die from sickness or something? Because they definitely weren't old.
9. I love the relationship between Fluttershy and Discord. It's the cutest thing. Because Discord is generally a slightly annoying person who appears not to care about anything, but really he's very soft, and Fluttershy is the only person who can bring out that side of him. In 'Discordant Harmony', Discord went to so much trouble to make everything perfect for Fluttershy because he only wanted the best for her. And in 'To Where and Back Again' the trap that Discord fell for were the dozens of Changlings pretending to be sad Fluttershys.

11. Why was Spike an orphaned egg?? I know that one dragon pretended to be his dad, but what's the real story?
12. Since spike went through The Molt, I'm guessing he's about 13-14, right? So then at the beginning of season one he was around 8-9? Why the heck was Twilight making him do all that work as a small child dragon? Why is she STILL making him do all that work as a small child dragon?
13. Who is the Storm King and when did the hippogriffs/seaponies get introduced? Did I miss something??
14. Is each member of the Young Six representative of an element of the Mane Six?
15. Are the princesses, like, immortal? 🤔
16. WAIT. Pinkie has a brother?? I never saw him before Pony Life.
17. Here's a theory. So the elements of harmony are Laughter, Loyalty, Generosity, Honesty, Kindness, and Magic. All very important things. You should always have kindness, honesty, etc., when you have friends. BUT. There are several things that could break a friendship instead of making a friendship. So what if there are elements that are the opposite of the Elements of Harmony? The opposite of Fluttershy's kindness would be rudeness/cruelty, The opposite of Rarity's generosity would be greed. The opposite of Applejack's honesty would be dishonesty. The opposite of Rainbow Dash's loyalty would be disloyalty/stubborness. The opposite of Pinkie Pie's laughter would be pessimism/negativeness. The opposite of Twilight's magic could be witchcraft, or whatever they would call it in the MLP universe. So in this case, there could be ANOTHER princess out there: the Princess of Enemies? And she would have five ponies helping her that would be the embodiments of the Elements of Disharmony. Here's another thing: the Elements of Harmony were created by the Ancient Six when they made the Tree of Harmony. So who created the Elements of Disharmony? Well, I can think of one pony who has more than enough power to do something like that, and someone who has always delighted in the chaos of disharmony. His name actually means disharmony. That's right, I'm talking about Discord. He may have created these elements before he was reformed. We already know he is capable of turning the Mane Six to the opposites of themselves, as evidenced in 'The Return of Harmony'. I think it's a little late for that kind of storyline, because apparently Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, and Tirek are going to team up and destroy Twilight and the Mane Six, but it's something interesting to think about.
18. I know there was a G5 movie but ... will there be a G5 TV show too??
